It depends on what you take in order to the school.
Broadcasting students are forced, most likely, a certain kind of Mac-purchase, is also good for things like graphic design, etc.

Since you have a pretty general idea of what you are looking at a laptop, I recommend that you review this new application from Microsoft as "laptop-Scout, you can find on http://www.microsoft. COM for Windows / Windows. .. You should be on the website, type go, what you want) in a laptop (and your budget, and goes so far that some potential equivalent.

I use a quick search on laptop scout some of the data you want, and I found a couple of laptops, which are very good: the Lenovo IdeaPad Y650 ($ 1249.00, 2.53 GHz Intel, 4GB RAM), and Asus F6V - V1 ($ 1299.00 with the same data, but it is DDR2, not DDR3 as Lenovo).

There are a number of other phones that match what you are looking for. . . I recommend you visit the laptop Scout and present some of the filter accordingly.
I hope this is helpful, good luck with your search!

Thank you,

If you can afford a Mac at all. Many colleges and universities, including me, are inclined to Apple Computer. I have a Gateway laptop that I like, but I'm having problems with viruses. I spoke to the Help Desk Computer Repair and say that I've never had someone bring a MacBook or Mac desktop, the problems with viruses or other has had.

Get a regular MacBook. You can get a guarantee of the free printer and iPod Touch Free. Macs are reliable, fast and easy to use and can withstand a lot of programs. Even if you want to use a Windows application that makes it really easy to set up warehouses and loading Windows OS on it. An application Macbook from Apple.com, and you can save a lot of money if you go to education. "The prices are much lower when you go to school.
Good luck

ps no matter what school you go to Mac in all areas will be good

I work for a company that has soul and computers, the Dell XPS was the best choice. Once the customer is usually sold to sell one more at the end.
Mac instead require special software, the more expensive and harder to people that they find work and we had to move customers to the Glens.
But I agree with the fact that Macs are better if you do extensive editing. Not that Dell can not manage.

As always, a Mac Book Air for college, I do not know if this makes sense, but in my opinion.

I know you're not Mac, but Apple has to throw the best in this respect.
